:rainbow: Wednesday at Gotland Game Hub! :rainbow:

This week the Hub is thrilled to welcome game developer and educator Pål Schakonat, alumnus of our department and The Game Assembly. Pål is the founder and former CEO of Golden Possum and currently works as a business development and game design teacher at Folkhögskolan Skurup Fridhem. Right now he is is launching their new Game Studio Program, a CSN-funded educational program aimed at helping teams start their own game studios. In his talk, Pål will give us a crash course in what it actually costs to run your own game studio, and provide some advice for those of you who want to embark on that journey!

As always, our Community Pop-up awaits you from 13.00 to 17:00 for game crafting, testing and enjoyment. Networking coffee at 15:00, followed by Pål’s talk at 15:30, and an opportunity to share your game ideas, projects or announcements at the Open Mic session.

Gotland Game Hub, May 8th

The Game Hub is back after the May Day break, and we are happy to welcome another faculty member: Jakob Berglund Rogert! Jakob not only serves as a teacher and Director of Studies at the department, he is also an accomplished game developer who has gone through the peculiar process of transitioning from game student to game entrepreneur. In his talk, he will give his best advice on how to take your student game to market and turn your student team into a business.
