Olle Wästberg is a former member of the parliament and former state secretary for finance and budget. He has been CEO of several companies in the information sector and editor-in-chief for the newspaper Expressen. Olle Wästberg was Consul General of Sweden in New York 1999-2004, and is currently serving as Director-General of The Swedish Institute

Olle will be kicking off our brand new course “Human Rights and Diversity in Serious Games“!

Throughout this course – every friday, weeks 35 to 44 – we will invite some amazingly experienced and influential men and women, to discuss human rights and diversity in the context of modern interactive and ever more social technology. All lectures are free and open to the public!

Theodor Berg from Magoo 3D Studios

Magoo 3D Studios GAME alumni Theodor Berg takes two days off from his job as render expert at Magoo 3D Studios to show us how to consistently produce beautiful and efficient renders, in Mentalray and Vray.

Both lectures are open to all of everyone, with Animation and Graphic-students naturally having priority.

Jason Booth on game design & being effective in the industry

Harmonix Jason Booth is a game designer, -developer, musician and all-round wünderkind who’s recent releases include Guitar Hero 1, 2 and Rock Band.

He was involved in the early days of Turbine (Asherons Call, Lord of The Rings, etc) and Conduit Labs, and is currently employed at Harmonix. And he blogs about iphone game development on his spare time…

Jason will be here for three days – two days of lectures and a third to give feedback on your GGA Projects.

Peter Stråhle from GRIN


Peter Stråhle returns for another session on art fundamentals and to hold a short workshop – sharing his experience of common modelling mistakes and demonstrating a more efficient work flow in 3D Studio Max.

Anyone interested in game specific art can get some great material here, but the art fundamentals are an especially helpful tool for your team based productions. These are true tricks of the trade. 🙂

We’ve also scheduled some time the following day for Peter to come visit your groups and give feedback on your GGA projects.
